SOME SENSATIONAL AERIAL SURFING WENT DOWN IN PUNCHY BOWLS AT SHALLOWS ON THE 24TH OF MAY . CLASS ACT DAN WADDELL LEAD THE WAY AND ALONG WITH SAM TUCKER AND EVENT WINNER ZAK OGRAM , RAISED THE BAR HIGHER ONCE AGAIN.
THE POWER OF RYAN WORDSWORTH, MARC MACKINNON , STEVE COLMAN{seniors winner} , DAVE HOPKINS{masters} AND FELICITY PALMATEER{womens} were a feature also.
Young Boston Kavanagh took out the juniors ahead of Tylan Lambert, Sasha Hopkins and Mitch Oakes.

The Seafood Swirl Surf event by BIg Pig Pizza
The Seafood swirl presented by Wazza Boye's Big Pig Pizza was held in classic conditions at 3 Bears.
Another large turnout saw the day stretch well into the afternoon as the waves became less crowded and glassier by the hour,
The Club stamped its local foot down on a long weekend Sunday at Bears and the level of surfing was outstanding compared to the average crowdfest at Mamas. The local grommets, boys and girls are really starting to show great improvment as the old guard continue to flare up at YBR.
Marc Mackinnon was on fire and finished a barnstorming second in the Open final behind a white-hot Zak Ogram and just ahead of the days standout, Sammy Tucker.
Chaddy Simpson edged out the days wildcard, Adam Bennetts from the Gold Coast in the semi-Finals.
Felicity Palmateer was sensational in the Womens final, finishing the final with perhaps the best ever wave ridden in female YBR compettion, scoring high 9's across the board.
Dave Hopkins nailed another win in the Masters and Max Tarrant got up in the Juniors for a solid win.
Luke Sutherland scratched for a win in the Seniors over Sam Morrison who finished 5th in the Open mens also after another magnificent day at the beach under the YBR tent.
