ANTMAN TURNS IT ON AT BEARS
In one of the all-time great YBR finals, Paul Antman Paterson showed again why he s one of WA's greatest ever surfers with a stunning performance in near perfect conditions at Bears.
Antman took down the red-hot Jay Davies and the in-form Dan Waddell in an epic battle that had all present on the beach in raptures. Petey Campbell- Hicks returned in time from his round Oz trip to edge out ratings leader and Current YBR Open Champ Zak Ogram in the Semis and finished a respectable 4th place.
It was all Green in the Womens , Juniors and Masters divisions , young Shaun Green again starred in the Juniors and edged out a shredding Brody maclean in the years most enthralling Junior final.
The Father - Daughter team of Stewy and Mikaela Greene continued on their winning ways while Luke Sutherland claimed victory in a tense Seniors final and in doing so tightened things right up in the ratings. Next round will be the OTIS Springtime surfest in September.

Held in super fun sidewash, Damian "Taco" Warr narrowly edged out Zak Ogram in a close final held on a drizzly Autumn day at torpedo rocks. Adzy got the fire going and everyone gathered around for what is now a classic feature on the YBR calendar.
Chappy, Az , Cracky, Asset, Ando and Micko were in the thick of it in the tent and the atmosphere was cosy. Tom Tilley from triple J turned up and got some juice out of Adz and Zak and got my opinion on that horrible wetsuit Chappy encouraged me to wear, thanks everyone , and yeah I"ve still got nappy rash!.
YBR : 4th in Australia at the National JIM BEAM SURFTAG final at North Narrabeen beach.
